From Colonial Cabin to Cutting-Edge Comfort

This log home—older than the U.S. itself—has seen more remodels than there have been U.S. presidents. But this one may be the most legendary yet.

The goal? Turn a tight, outdated hall bath with a fiberglass surround into a show-stopping smart bathroom that feels as good as it functions. The space will soon serve as the main bathroom for a future first-floor addition—so it needed to be durable, impressive, and effortlessly modern.

As the plan evolved, so did the ambition. Why stop at “one cool feature” when you can have them all? From heated floors and towel racks to Alexa-powered lighting and a $3K smart shower, every detail is designed to wow.
